Apple Dumplings

• 4 Apples

• 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed

• 1 egg

• 4 tablespoons of sugar

• 1 tablespoon of cinnamon

• 1 teaspoons of nutmeg

• 1 teaspoons of ground cloves

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees

2. Cut the fully thawed puff pastry into four squares

3. Cut a hole in the center of each piece of pastry, where the apple stem would be

5. In a bowl, mix together an egg and a tablespoon of water- this creates an egg wash

6. Brush the egg wash over the pastry apple.

7. In a bowl mix together the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

8. Roll each pastry covered apple in the spice mix

9. Place the apples on a parchment paper lined baking sheet (or aluminum foil) and bake for 20-25 minutes

10. Serve immediately after removing from oven
