After trying beer, it looks like churches are testing out the appeal of fast food to lure in parishioners.

An Alabama church announced it will start holding services at a local Buffalo Wild Wings to reach potential parishioners who "wouldn't go to a church."

According to AL.com, Reverend Wesley Savage, a youth pastor for the Riverchase United Methodist Church, said the church is planning to begin holding Sunday morning services at the chicken chain.

Savage says the 45-minute service is targeted to the "a population that would attend a service there that wouldn't go to a church."

"We believe there's a population that would attend a service there that wouldn't go to a church," Savage told AL.com. "We hope it's going to be a more inviting atmosphere."

This comes just a days after the launch of  the McMass Project, where organizers have begun raising funds to open a church in McDonald’s.  They hope that combining a fast-food and church could help "capture modern audiences."

Signs like this are advertising the first mass, called "The Stream," which will take place on Sunday, promising "wings. prayer. sports."
