William and Kate Announce July Due Date

William and Kate will become parents in July, it was announced Monday.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," a statement issued by St James Palace said.

The announcement ends speculation that the mum-to-be could be carrying twins. In December, Kate was hospitalized for severe morning sickness, a condition that is sometimes found in mothers carrying more than one baby.

"The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month," the statement added.
