Jewel and her husband Ty Murray were both scheduled to compete on this season's "Dancing with the Stars." Jewel, whose full name is Jewel Kilcher, is a Grammy-winning singer. But an injury sidelined her before the season began. Her husband, Murray, got second place in the Professional Bull Rider's Championship for three years in a row and then retired from the sport in 2002. Since then Murray has been a commentator on many other PBR events. (AP)
Steve Wozniak puts his dancing shoes on in this season of DWTS. Wozniak is the co-founder of Apple and a general computer guru. He is also known to be dating Kathy Griffin of "My Life on the D-List," with whom he is pictured with here. (AP)
June 17, 2007: Shawn Johnson, the All-American Olympic star from Iowa, is the youngest competitor in the history of "Dancing with the Stars." Johnson sparkled in Beijing this summer, winning a gold medal on the balance beam and the silver medal in the womens all-around competition. (AP)
Nov. 12, 1999: Also competing this season is Lawrence (L.T.) Taylor. L.T., who is 50-years-old this year, spent his professional career as a linebacker for the New York Giants. He was awarded both the Defensive Player of the Year and the leagues highest honor, MVP. He has been jailed three times for drug possession. However, he has turned his life around and is now hoping to become an actor. (AP)

Sept. 9, 2000: Lil' Kim, shown here on the red carpet, brings her unique swagger to the new season of 'DWTS.' Lil' Kim is the first female rapper to have a number one hit on the billboard charts. In 2005, Lil' Kim became the center of controversy when she lied to a grand jury about her knowledge of a shooting that took place in NYC. She spent a year and a day in prison and allowed BET to film her last days before going into the slammer for the show "Lil Kim: Countdown to Lockdown." (AP)
May 16, 2005: Belinda Carlisle better hope that 'she's got the beat' when she competes on "Dancing with the Stars." Belinda was the lead singer of the Go-Go's and has since pursued a fairly lucrative solo career. (AP)
May 27, 2008: Denise Richards, actress, model, and mother, is a competitor on this seasons DWTS. She's known for her extreme sex appeal in movies like "The World is Not Enough" and "Wild Things." She recently let cameras into her life, sans Charlie Sheen, with her E! Network Reality Show Denise Richards: Its Complicated. (AP)
April 27, 2005: DWTS is adding a little humor with competitor David Alan Grier. Grier is an actor and a comedian who got his start on "In Living Color" and now stars on the Comedy Central show "Chocolate News." (AP)
June, 2008: The French actor, Gilles Marini, has nothing to hide after bearing it ALL for Samantha Jones in the "Sex and The City" feature film. Marini played the next door neighbor that tempted the sex-crazed Samantha while her live-in boyfriend, Smith, was out working. (AP)
Sept. 17, 2007: Steve-O, one of MTV's resident Jackasses, may add some daredevil moves to his routines when he competes in the ninth season of DWTS. He has co-starred in three feature films; "Jackass: The Movie", "Jackass Number Two," and "Jackass 2.5." (AP)
June, 2008: Chuck Wicks has been around the reality show block before as a one-time contestant on the show "Nashville." He has since become a name in the country music sphere with his debut album "Starting Now." (AP)
