Star Style Evolution

Megan Fox is undoubtedly one of Hollywood's hottest leading ladies. These days, she is on the cover of countless fashion magazines and her red carpet looks always seem to get the fashion world talking. But like any star, Fox made her fair share of mistakes in her day. Take a look at her style's evolution through the years. (Photo: X17)

In one of Megan's earliest red carpet appearances, she posed at the premiere of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with "7th Heaven" star David Gallagher in 2003. The stunning beauty was certainly sexy, but the look was nothing short of trashy in a ripped see-through shirt and too-short mini.

At the 2007 Teen Choice Awards, Megan's style was beginning to improve, but was hardly perfect. The star wore an ill-fitting tunic and see through leggings in a look that was a hodgepodge of too many trends. (Photo: Reuters)

Again showing improvement but still not yet the fashionista she would become, FOX donned a shapeless mini-dress here in Tokyo in 2007 while promoting the film "Transformers" with co-star Shia LaBeouf.

At this 2007 GQ event, Megan looked nothing like the red carpet star we have come to know and love, instead wearing big hair, a short skirt, big hoops and even even bigger bow on her shirt. The outfit was shapeless and dated and did our favorite Fox no justice. (Photo: AP)

While Megan looked sexy and casual here in a Motley Crue T-shirt and skinny jeans, the jury is out on this look. Sure, it was a vast improvement from some of her other red carpet looks, but was hardly the glamour goddess we'd like to see her as. 2008 was definitely Megan's "pink" year. At several events, the sultry star wore some form of a short pink tube dress. This confectionery number number was cute, but a little over the top.

Megan overloaded the pink in 2008.

It's pretty clear that Fox has a stunning figure and beauty to boot, but the "head-over-the-shoulder-and-look-at-my-bum" pose only emphasizes the poor red carpet choice made here at the MTV Awards in 2008.

The hair. The boots. The many different colors. We forgive you, this time. But it was still a little much. (Photo: X17)

Although she wore pink (again), we have to admit, Megan looked stunning, sexy and youthful at this 2008 GQ event, which proved to be one of her first forays into the world of fashion heavyweights.

While her red carpet style was improving, Fox was still making a misstep or two in her casual life, wearing this fedora and T-shirt look for weeks at a time. Not worthy of your beauty Megan, sorry. At the 2009 Comic-Con festival, Megan rocked an edgy and casual look.

While some fashion critics said this look was a little too greasy, we think Fox's dress was sexy and fun and perfect for her bad-girl image. (Photo: AP)

While promoting the "Transformers" sequel, Megan brought sexiness to a new level in this black dress with a ribbon-detailed back. The look was sexy and sophisticated and worthy of a red carpet star. (Photo: Reuters)

In perhaps her most famous red carpet look to date, Fox wore a barely-there dress that was the perfect mix of sexy and sophisticated. The dress had the fashion world abuzz and all eyes were suddenly on Megan's style in addition to her lovely looks. (Photo: AP)

Still, in the middle of her red-carpet style tour, Megan did make a little misstep with her lace leggings that she wore to the dentist. We can't always expect perfection, right? In a sexy dress that only she could pull off, Megan wore a plunging black, skin-tight shift dress that no doubt left a trail of drool from any man who encountered her. In one of her best looks to date, Megan wowed in white at the Los Angeles premiere of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The look was sexy and fashion-forward at the same time and (hopefully) proved that Megan is ready to take her place among the top style stars. (Photo: AP)
