By now television reporters are used to people waving and making faces while they broadcast live but a New York City reporter encountered an entirely new distraction when singer Erykah Badu tried to kiss him during a live broadcast.
Last week Pix's Mario Diaz was reporting from midtown Manhattan about Shia LeBouef when the "On & On" singer edged into frame before making an obscene hand gesture. She then tried kissing Diaz who politely fended her off.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted the singer who initially denied via social media that she was the culprit. Eventually she tweeted a simple, "Sorry Mario."

Diaz cheerfully responded, "I just want your extra time and your... kiss," from Prince's 1986 song "Kiss," before promising to be more amenable to strangers' advances in future.
"Next time I won't do the NYC push back," he continued, saying that his wife thought Badu had "great taste."
