‘Modern Family’ star Rico Rodriguez cannot believe how young he looks in the earlier seasons of the hit comedy show.
The 18-year-old actor stopped by Fox and Friends on Thursday morning and said that he can’t help but laugh anytime he watches reruns of the show.
“The other day I was watching reruns and I was just ‘wow, I was so young and I said all these lines at one time.’ It was hilarious,” Rodriguez said.

Teasing the show’s eighth season, the Texas-born actor said that his character, Manny Delgado, will go through what any senior in high school experiences: applying for college and becoming an adult.
“It’s a lot of dealing with that – the whole growing up aspect – to be off to college while little Joe is still growing up and being with the family,” Rodriguez added. “It’s a lot of fun.”
The teenager also talked about his new initiative with Pizza Hut for International Literacy Day and said he hopes to encourage students to read.

“The program is where these kids in schools – their teachers set up monthly reading goals and whenever those kids exceed their goal, they get a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from their local Pizza Hut,” Rodriguez said. “So it encourages kids to read knowing that you are going to get a special surprise at the end.”
The 8th season of “Modern Family” premieres on Sept. 21 on ABC.
