Lee Greenwood Tells FNM Why He's Proud to Be An American

We here at Fox News Magazine are proud to be American, but it's not like we ever wrote a song about it or anything.

The same can't be said for country singer Lee Greenwood, who wrote perhaps the most patriotic anthem on American pride ever recorded. And now, Greenwood's famous song has been adapted into "Proud to Be An American," perhaps the most patroitic illustrated children's book ever printed.

Just in time for the Fourth, we met up with Greenwood himself to learn why he's still so proud to be an American — aside from the many reasons he already lists in our favorite patriotic tune — and why he decided to share his patriotic message with a younger generation.
