Kerry's Iraq Flap

Hi!

We had a big story to talk about today on the show. Sen. , giving a speech in Pasadena, California, told his audience — to paraphrase — they better study or they will end up stuck in .

The comments created a firestorm just five days away from the midterm elections. Kerry says it was a "botched joke" that was only intended to insult . No apology necessary.

Sen. Kerry decided to cancel all campaign appearances today as a result, saying he didn't want to be a "distraction."

Many politicians commented on "FOX & Friends" this morning about the Kerry comments: Massachusetts Gov. , Sen. of Ohio, former Democratic presidential candidate and others.

The debate? How will Kerry's comments affect midterm elections?

While this story dominated the news today, there was also breaking medical news we reported. Dr. Manny talked about the new study coming out saying scientists have now been able to pinpoint how many babies die of , or SIDS. It may have something to do with the way the brain stem in certain babies metabolizes . It's a huge finding for the medical field, and for parents.

We hope you have a great day! And be sure to join us again tomorrow for another edition of "FOX & Friends"!
