'Iron Chef' Cat Cora to divorce wife of 17 years

Celebrity chef Cat Cora says she is getting a divorce from her partner of 17 years.

The "Iron Chef America" star released a statement Monday confirming she and partner Jennifer Cora are ending their marriage.

Court records in Santa Barbara, California, show that Jennifer Cora filed for divorce on Oct. 28 and Cat Cora filed her petition a day later.

A copy of the filings, which were first reported by celebrity website TMZ, was not immediately available.

The former couple has four sons. According to TMZ, a custody battle is brewing, and Jennifer Cora has requested spousal support.

Cat Cora's statement says she and Jennifer Cora are committed to jointly raising their sons in a peaceful, nurturing and healthy environment.
