Even Gwyneth Paltrow’s life isn’t perfect.

The actress and mother of two spoke for the first time about a tough time in her life, revealing she had a miscarriage with her third child and almost died in the process.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Paltrow said her children—Apple, 8, and Moses, 6—often ask her for a younger sibling.

“I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third. It didn’t work out and I nearly died. So I am like, 'Are we good here or should we go back and try again?'"

She added that a third child may not be totally out of the question for her and her husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

“My children ask me to have a baby all the time,” she said. “And you never know, I could squeeze one more in. I am missing my third. I’m thinking about it.”

Paltrow, 40, also opened up about her relationship with Martin in the interview, saying he is a wonderful father to her kids.

“[Chris] is so good to the children and to know that you had kids with such a good man is a real weight off you. We are committed co-parents, we make all the decisions together and lean on each other for support.”

Back in February, Paltrow’s friend Beyonce opened up about her miscarriage before she had her daughter, Blue Ivy.

Stars like Pink, Mariah Carey and Bethenny Frankel have also previously revealed they had miscarriages.
