Craig Morgan's son missing after boating accident
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Country music star Craig Morgan's son is missing following a boating accident on Sunday in Tennessee, Morgan told FOX411 Country in a statement.
Morgan and his wife, Karen Greer, are asking for privacy as recovery efforts are under way to locate their 19-year-old son Jerry Greer.
"The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time," the statement read.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Rod Edwards in that county told local media that the search began around 4 p.m. Sunday near a marina. Edwards says two teenagers were tubing when they had an accident and one teen didn't surface. Both were wearing life jackets.
The Sheriff's Office requested assistance from rescue organizations across the state. About 50 boats joined the search. Authorities say crews were using an underwater vehicle to scan a search on the river where the water is up to 15 feet deep at points.
Edwards would not give further comment on the investigation told FOX411 Country the department has not "declared anything other than searching." A rep for the Sheriff's department confirmed Edwards was on scene assisting with the search.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Morgan and his wife have four children together including Jerry, who recently graduated from Dickson County High School.
"I have a wonderful family," Morgan told FOX411 Country in 2015. "My wife is great and supportive, making sure that I'm doing the things I need to be doing at home and that I need to be doing out on the road."
Before becoming a country music star, Morgan served for nearly a decade in the United States Army.
