Conan O'Brien responded to a blogger's lawsuit that claimed the late night talk show host stole jokes.

Robert Kaseberg sued O'Brien for copyright infringement but according to documents obtained by TMZ, O'Brien is insisting he and his writers came up with the jokes themselves.

In O'Brien's response, he says his material is 100 percent "independently created." In fact, O'Brien adds, the jokes, which are based on current events, cannot be copyrighted.

According to O'Brien's response, the jokes weren't very original anyway.
