The only aluminum pickup has won over the Lone Star state.
The 2015 Ford F-150 was named Truck of Texas by at the annual Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) Truck Rodeo this week. The F-150’s aluminum body also took home the title for Best Technology at the event, which was coincidentally sponsored by the Steel Market Development Institute. Texas tops the U.S. in pickup sales, and thefts too.
TAWA hands out 25 awards covering just about every class of truck and utility. Chrysler won nine with its Jeep brand went five for five categories, the Grand Cherokee taking home the SUV of Texas title.
