2014 SRT Viper TA

Chrysler's high performance SRT division has unveiled an even more track focused version of the recently reborn Viper coupe. Powered by the same 640 hp, 600 lb-ft torque 8.4-liter V10 as the rest of the lineup, the Viper TA (Time Attack) gets an updated suspension featuring adjustable dampers with settings for Smooth and Rough surfaces, retuned springs, new stabilizer bars and a carbon fiber x-brace under the hood to stiffen the chassis.

The brakes have been updated for better heat management, and a new carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler were added for improved aerodynamics.

The changes add up to a new production car lap record at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca of 1:33:62. If you want to try to beat it yourself, empty your Cypriot bank account and get your order in soon. SRT is building a limited run of just "33" Viper TAs in Crusher Orange paint to commemorate the mark that will sell for $120,500 a pop starting this fall.
