A jury has been selected for the leak trial of a former CIA officer accused of disclosing classified information about an operation in Iran to a New York Times reporter.

The trial of 47-year-old Jeffrey Sterling of O'Fallon, Missouri, is expected to run two weeks in federal court in Virginia. Opening statements are set for Tuesday afternoon.

The judge told jurors Tuesday that former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice may be one of the witnesses.

Prosecutors believe Sterling illegally disclosed information to reporter James Risen about a plan to cripple Iran's nuclear weapons program, who wrote about it in a 2006 book.

The trial was delayed for years over legal wrangling about whether Risen would be forced to testify. A transcript of earlier testimony he gave will be read to jurors.
