D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera scored 17 points and the Georgetown Hoyas opened the second half with a 13-0 run and pulled away from Lipscomb for a 70-49 win on Saturday afternoon.

Joshua Smith had 14 points and Mikael Hopkins scored all of his 13 points in the second half for the Hoyas (4-2), who led by 11 in the first half, but only 27-26 at halftime.

The Bisons (3-4) closed the first half with seven straight points, but Georgetown flipped the momentum immediately after halftime, holding Lipscomb without a point for the first 6 minutes.

The Hoyas opened the four-game homestand with their third straight win despite shooting 7 of 27 from beyond the arc.

Malcolm Smith had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Martin Smith scored 16 for the Bisons, who continued their trend of alternating wins and losses each game.
