West Ham defender Guy Demel has signed a new contract with the club that runs until 2015.

Demel has established himself as a regular in the West Ham back line this season, making 17 appearances in all competitions for a side that has yielded 28 goals in 22 league matches.

"I'm happy to be at West Ham and in the team," Demel said. "The lads are really good with me as are the people working for the club. I hope I will stay that long to play in the new stadium as well."

The 31-year-old was limited to 10 league games because of injury last season, his first with the Hammers since joining from Hamburg.

But the Ivorian has rebounded nicely this term for a West Ham side that sits in 12th place in the Premiership.
