Could Carmen Carrera become the first transgendered Victoria's Secret "Angel"? More than 31,000 of her fans have their fingers crossed.

Marco Regalado, a user on the petition website Change.org, is calling for the lingerie empire to hire the 28-year-old Carrera – born Christopher Roman in Elmwood Park, N.J. – as a runway and print Angel.

"Victoria's Secret Angels push the barriers whether it’s on the runway or in photo shoots," the petition reads, "and that's just what Carmen does!"

Carrera, who is of Puerto Rican descent, first came to prominence on the third season of the Logo reality-TV show, "RuPaul's Drag Race," which aired in early 2011. She since has signed a modeling contract with the Elite agency, has been featured in W magazine and walked the runway, along with other "Drag Race" alums, for California designer Marco Marco at LA Fashion Week in October.

"By asking Carmen to be a model, Victoria's Secret would show the entire community that they embrace trans patrons" Regalado's petition, which was first posted Nov. 2, reads. "As a brand, Victoria's Secret should feel comfortable marketing towards all types of women."
