Celebrities and paparazzi seemingly go hand in hand, but for many A-listers the photographers become too much — case in point recently: Demi Lovato.
The 21-year-old singer was meeting with fans after Logo’s “Trailblazers” event, which taped in New York on Monday, when a slew of nasty paparazzi got in the way. She was not happy.
“When are paparazzi gonna learn? If you’re respectful to me, I’ll be respectful back. Why does it have to be a war of celebs against paps?” she tweeted.
Lovato then followed up, “Of course if you yell horrible things, I’m not gonna work with you. I’ll pose if you are respectful and not being bullies.”
The former “X-Factor” judge concluded with an apology to her fans.
“I wanted to stop for my fans today/tonight really bad because I love you so much but I can’t deal with how mean those paps are,” she tweeted, adding, “I always try to stop because I appreciate every single one of you, so if I don’t get to you please know I’m sorry and I love you.”
Lovato concluded with: “Sometimes staying strong means not putting yourself in uncomfortable or triggering situations.”
The singer’s encounter with rude and disrespectful paparazzi was not the first nor will be the last time for celebrities.
In fact, earlier on Monday, Gossip Cop reported about another incident that resulted in a photographer being arrested after he allegedly threatened big-time trainer Harley Pasternak after a report that actor Robert Patterson was training with him that day.
