UK police arrest 21-year-old man at airport on suspicion of terrorism
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}British police say they have detained a man at a London airport on suspicion of terrorism offenses.
Scotland Yard says officers stopped the 21-year-old man at Stansted Airport on Sunday night after he returned to the U.K. from Istanbul.
Police said Monday the arrest was not in response to any immediate threat.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The man, who remains in custody, is the latest among a number of people to be arrested by counter-terrorism officers at British airports in recent days.
On Sunday, two men who were arrested at Heathrow Airport were charged with traveling to Syria intending to commit terrorism. A third man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of attending a terrorist training camp in Syria.
European officials are concerned about domestic threats posed by fighters returning from Syria.
