Suicidal women in China put into early grave to appreciate life
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A woman who once attempted suicide hopes to uplift other depressed women – by sending them to the grave.
Liu Taijie, 30, forces the women to lie in a shallow, open cemetery plot so they contemplate their lives and imagine a world without them in it.
The idea is for them to learn to appreciate life — and that suicide isn’t worth it, according to People’s Daily China.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Taijie came up with the morbid workshop after picking her own self up from rock bottom.
“I was abandoned by my husband, I was despised by my family. I was deceived by a pyramid selling scam and I wanted to die,” she said. “Tears are useless and death cannot solve problems. I want to change and use my experience to help women so I created this ‘grave classroom.’”
