Saudi coalition bombs allied Yemeni soldiers killing 8
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Yemeni military officials say the Saudi-led coalition launched a series of airstrikes along the Yemen-Saudi border that mistakenly killed and wounded forces allied with the government.
The officials say eight border guards were killed and 33 others wounded when the coalition staged a bombing operation in the al-Araba mountains in Jawf governorate on Thursday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to speak to the media.
Yemeni forces are fighting with the Saudi-led coalition against Houthi rebels, whom Saudis accuse of acting as an Iranian proxy. Over the course of the four-year war, coalition bombs have at times struck allied forces and civilians.
