Report: An F/A-18 fighter jets crashes in central Switzerland
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Swiss media are reporting that a military fighter jet has crashed in central Switzerland.
Zurich newspaper Tages Anzeiger and 20min.ch say that the Swiss Air Force F/A-18 jet went down near a military airport in Alpnach in the Lake Lucerne region on Wednesday.
Police told The Associated Press they are investigating the scene near the airport.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Swiss media say that authorities have dispatched a helicopter to the scene. The crash also has shut down a nearby railway line.
