Protesters gather near Moroccan parliament over fish vendor's gruesome death

Nearly 2,000 protesters have marched to the Moroccan Parliament in response to the gruesome death of a fish vendor and to protest the alleged corruption by police and government officials.
Mouhcine Fikri was crushed inside a garbage truck compactor late last month. Fikri climbed into the truck to retrieve swordfish that had been confiscated and discarded by police because the species is out of season.
Eleven people are facing manslaughter charges.

Protesters in the Moroccan capital chanted "We are all Mouhcine" on Sunday as they marched down the main avenue toward Parliament. They also held banners reading "No to Corruption" and "No to Humiliation."
