April 23: Federal police stand next to fallen fellow officers after they were ambushed by unknown gunmen in the northern border city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Seven police officers, as well as a 17-year-old boy who was passing by, were killed in the ambush, according to authorities (AP).
