Missile attack kills 18 in rebel-held part of Aleppo, Syrian activists say
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Syrian activists say a missile attack by government forces has killed at least 18 people and wounded dozens in a rebel-held neighborhood of the northern city of Aleppo.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the surface-to-surface missile hit Aleppo's Shaar neighborhood on Monday. The Observatory says that 18 died and a wave of rockets targeted the area afterward.
The Local Coordination Committees say the missile targeted a street with clothing stores. It says 20 died and more than 40 were wounded.
