Human rights groups in Mexico say the government has committed crimes against humanity in its war against drug cartels.
A report by the Justice Initiative is the first extensive analysis that says murder, torture and disappearances during Mexico*s drug war were serious atrocities committed by law enforcement and military personnel.
The report also blames the Zeta Cartel, one of Mexico*s most violent gangs, for crimes against humanity. The report calls on Mexican authorities to further investigate these cases.
