Iran opposition: 'Dark future' awaits the economy

Former presidential candidates Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi have supported the need to cut subsidies but said in a statement posted on an opposition website Wednesday that it is being implemented badly.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called the subsidy cut plan the biggest surgery on Iran's economy in half a century.
