German police probe alleged infant remains found in cooler
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}German police say they are investigating a grisly discovery: the decomposed remains of what appeared to be three infants found in camping coolers.
The remains were discovered Tuesday and Wednesday in a cellar and garage as the apartment of a 40-year-old woman was being cleared out in Langgoens north of Frankfurt in southwest Germany, the German news agency dapd reports.
Investigators say autopsies did not immediately determine a cause of death.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Dapd reported the woman, who was questioned by police, said the remains were the result of pregnancies that ended in miscarriages. She has four children and is currently serving a six-month sentence for fraud.
Officials say no criminal charges have yet been sought.
