France: Iran sanctions possible over missile tests
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}France's foreign minister has raised the possibility of European sanctions against Iran after the country test-fired two ballistic missiles last week.
Jean-Marc Ayrault said Sunday that "if necessary, sanctions will be taken." He spoke during a news conference after a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and several European counterparts.
Kerry said the Iranian missile launches are a violation of U.N. resolutions and "could invite additional sanctions as we put them in place ... as a result of the prior tests."
