Blasts kill 6 in Baghdad, including policemen targeted by suicide attacker in bomb-rigged car
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi security officials say an explosives-packed car driven by a suicide bomber has killed at least six people and wounded 15 outside a western Baghdad police station.
A second bomb stuck to the underside of a car elsewhere in the capital killed its driver and wounded three passengers.
Both explosions came during the early morning rush hour in Baghdad.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Two police officers were among the fatalities outside the security station in western Baghdad's al-Amil neighborhood.
The casualties were confirmed by a Baghdad police commander and an official at Yarmouk hospital.
Both spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.
