2 men to go on trial over murder of UK soldier on London street
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Two men accused of killing a British soldier in an apparent Islamist terrorist attack on a London street are due to go on trial.
Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale were shot by police and placed under armed guard in a hospital after the May 22 attack on Lee Rigby, an off-duty soldier who was run over by a car and then stabbed repeatedly while walking back to his military barracks in southeast London.
Far-right groups have called for protests Monday outside of London's Old Bailey Court, where Adebolajo, 28, and Adebowale, 22, are set to stand trial.
