13 Chinese Miners Trapped Inside Flooded Coal Shaft
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}BEIJING — State media says 13 miners are trapped underground in a flooded coal shaft in northwestern China.
The official Xinhua News Agency said the workers were caught inside the shaft when water gushed into the mine in Jinta, a county in Gansu province, on Sunday morning.
It said three men were safely lifted out.
