{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Authorities in Mexico's northern state of Nuevo Leon say gunmen killed a police officer and apparently kidnapped two others who were on their way to investigate the slaying.
Nuevo Leon state's government says gunmen ambushed a state police patrol Tuesday in the town of Sabinas Hidalgo, killing an officer and wounding a colleague. Two other state police officers later went missing as they drove to Sabinas Hidalgo to investigate.
Officials say the incidents happened on a road near the state line between Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas states.
