Wisconsin man charged with killing wife in 1984
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Portage County prosecutors have charged a 55-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man in the 1984 shooting death of his wife.
Pamela Reinwand died of a wound to the head at her Plover home in May 1984. Her husband, Joseph Reinwand, told deputies then that she committed suicide over an argument after a night at a bar.
Joseph Reinwand, who's in prison on unrelated burglary charges, was charged Thursday with first-degree murder. He's due for his initial appearance on the new charge Tuesday. Online court records don't list an attorney.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Daily Tribune Media report he's already due to stand trial Oct. 20 on a separate charge in Wood County in the 2008 shooting death of 35-year-old Dale Meister, of Wisconsin Rapids. Evidence in that case led authorities to revisit the wife's death.
