State Alcoholic Beverage Control officials are reviewing the arrest of a University of Virginia student who bought bottled water and tried to flee agents cracking down on underage alcohol possession.
Prosecutors dropped felony charges Thursday against 20-year-old Elizabeth Daly. The charges included two counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer and one count of eluding police.
Daly had bought a carton of water, cookie dough and ice cream at a Charlottesville store on April 11. ABC spokeswoman Kathleen Shaw says a plainclothes agent conducting a sting suspected Daly had a case of beer and identified herself to Daly.

Daly drove off in her vehicle, and the ABC says the SUV struck two agents.
The Daily Progress reports Daly says she and her roommates were “terrified” by the incident.
