Topless club owner gets 10 years in failed plot to kill Texas mayor
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The owner of a North Texas topless club has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for trying to orchestrate a plot to kill a mayor and an attorney.
Ryan Walker Grant appeared Tuesday before U.S. District Judge Terry R. Means in Fort Worth.
Grant pleaded guilty in September to a murder-for-hire charge stemming from a failed 2012 plot to hire a hit man to kill Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck and lawyer Tom Brandt, who does work for the city.
