Tire explodes at New Hampshire auto center, killing worker
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police in New Hampshire say a large truck tire has exploded at an auto center, killing a worker and seriously injuring a customer.
Police say they were called to the Sears Auto Center in Salem at about 7:50 a.m. Saturday.
According to a 911 call, a caller reported that a worker was filling up the tire when it "exploded off the machine" and hit both men in the head.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police say 22-year-old worker Justin Almon, of Sandown, died of head injuries.
Police say 23-year-old customer Adam Sproul, of Boothbay, Maine, was flown to Boston Medical Center with serious head injuries.
Salem police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
