A judge says a man who confessed to killing three people and now wants to be released from an Ohio prison will first be evaluated to see if he should be registered as a sex offender.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Attorneys for Nathaniel Cook say the court in Toledo must release him soon because of a plea agreement made nearly 20 years ago.
The agreement forced Cook and his brother to admit to raping and killing several young women during a string of eight murders in the 1980s.
A judge in Toledo decided Thursday that Cook needs an evaluation that could force him to notify authorities of his address every 90 days if he is released.
