Police say a Missouri man has been charged in the 1996 slaying of a 15-year-old Maryland girl, and he has waived extradition and will return to face trial in Frederick.
Frederick Police Lt. Clark Pennington said Wednesday that his department plans to bring 52-year-old Lloyd Harris back to Maryland by mid-February. He's being held in jail in Liberty, Missouri.
Local police and FBI agents arrested Harris last week in Kansas City, Missouri. He's charged with first-degree murder, first-degree rape and third-degree sex offense in the strangulation death of Stacey Lynn Hoffmaster.
