Remains of Ohio man convicted of killing wife to be removed from current spot over her grave

The remains of an Ohio man who beat his wife to death in 1993 will be removed from their current spot, just inches from her grave.

The Chronicle-Telegram reports (http://bit.ly/1EY8w3p ) Elyria officials plan to disinter the remains of Marvin Dallas on Thursday at the request of Mary Dallas' family.

Marvin Dallas' cremated remains were buried over the grave of his wife earlier this year, as his will requested. Officials say the city and funeral home weren't aware that he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in her death and spent 12 years in prison.

Mary Dallas' daughter Crystal Denn says she's happy she'll be able to visit her mother's grave without being near the remains of the woman's killer.

Marvin Dallas' remains will be given to his children.
