Protesters arrested in House, removed from gallery
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Protesters have been removed from the House gallery and arrested after yelling about torture in the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
At least a dozen people were removed Thursday in a coordinated protest. One or two at a time stood up and began yelling. After they were taken out, a few more would stand and repeat their message.
The protest came during a vote on overhauling the U.S. patent system. The noise during the vote drowned out the protesters' message.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Capitol Police finally ended the rolling protest by clearing spectators from the gallery, which overlooks the chamber.
