Police say 4 people shot at Charlotte anti-violence vigil; no arrests so far
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}North Carolina police say four people were shot and wounded when gunfire broke out at an anti-violence vigil.
The Charlotte Observer reports (http://bit.ly/17KCSb0) Mothers of Murdered Offspring sponsored the Thursday night vigil. They were calling attention to the death of a man who police say was fatally shot when he tried to rob a convenience store.
A statement from police says officers were called by someone at the vigil who said a person pulled a gun and began firing at people.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}When officers arrived, they found that most people had fled, and there were no shooting victims. But police learned that there were four victims. Each had called 911 from a different location.
Police have made no arrests in the case.
