Police: Human remains found; could be those of female UVa. student missing since September
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police say they have found human remains that could be those of a University of Virginia sophomore who has been missing since Sept. 13.
Police Chief Tim Longo and others told a news conference Saturday afternoon further forensic tests would be conducted to confirm that the remains are those of Hannah Graham.
Thousands of volunteers had searched for the 18-year-old Graham in the weeks since her disappearance.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr., 32, has been charged with abduction with intent to defile Graham.
Virginia State Police have said Matthew's arrest provided a "forensic link" to the 2009 unsolved murder of Morgan Harrington, a 20-year-old who also went missing from Charlottesville.
