Philadelphia taxi driver shot in arm during robbery attempt
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Authorities say a Philadelphia taxi driver has been shot in the arm during an overnight robbery attempt in his cab.
Police say two men and one woman flagged down the Get A Cab taxi just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday in front of a gas station and asked to be taken to a south Philadelphia address.
Police say when they arrived, the men pointed guns at the 38-year-old driver and demanded money. Both fired one shot, hitting the driver once in the right arm.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police say the cabbie continued driving until he crashed into several parked cars. He then got out of the vehicle and flagged down a police officer on patrol.
The trio fled. The driver is listed in stable condition at a hospital.
