Ohio Cop Allegedly Assaults Youth Baseball Coach, Police Say
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A 37-year-old Ohio police officer who has been on an extended medical leave, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a youth baseball coach, Fox8.com reported.
Witnesses told police Matthew Collins head-butted 37-year-old coach Andrew Bagdonas, after the game.
When Bagdonas fell to the ground, Collins continued to assault him, Fox8.com reported.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}It was not clear why the alleged assault happened.
Collins, who has been a Mentor police officer since 2003, was charged with assault.
