NYC man set to be indicted as part of student murder trial in stand-off with police, report says
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A stand-off erupted this morning after police tried to arrest a man who is wanted in the murder case of a Pace student who was slain in a luxury Financial District apartment — but he barricaded himself in his apartment with his mother and two children, police sources said.
The NYPD warrant squad went to arrest suspect Jimmy Siders, 31, about 8:45 a.m. in his fourth-floor apartment in the Alfred E. Smith housing development on Madison Street, but he locked himself inside the apartment with three other people, sources said.
His mother is wheelchair-bound, cops said. The children are a boy and a girl, but it was not clear yet how old they are.
Siders was indicted yesterday in the murder trial of Randy Colon, who is accused of slaying Max Moreno — a Pace student and pot dealer who was shot to death in his Gold Street apartment.
