NY trucker involved in Kerry Kennedy driving case pleads guilty to traffic infraction
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The trucker involved in Kerry Kennedy's driving-while-impaired arrest has pleaded guilty to a traffic infraction.
The clerk at North Castle Town Court says Rocco Scuiletti (skoo-ee-LEH'-tee) was fined $130 on Nov. 16 for disobeying a traffic control device. He had been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Kennedy is a daughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. Police say her Lexus swerved across Interstate 684 in North Castle in July and swiped Scuiletti's tractor trailer.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}He says he didn't stop because his truck was undamaged.
Tests found a small amount of a sleeping drug in Kennedy's blood. She has pleaded not guilty to driving while impaired with drugs and says she believes she accidentally took a sleeping pill.
She is due in court Jan. 15.
