No-contest plea in California baseball bat attack on coach
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A California man has pleaded no contest to attacking his son's Little League baseball coach with a bat during a game last year.
The Los Angeles County district attorney's office says 31-year-old Miguel Angel Mejia entered the plea Wednesday to one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon.
Prosecutors say Mejia swung the bat at the coach after the victim benched the defendant's son during a game in Pasadena. Other parents intervened.
